Muslim 3D is an interactive 3D application built to teach Islamic practice and history by letting you walk through it rather than read about it.
The largest part is a reconstruction of the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimage. You move through Makkah and the surrounding sites in three dimensions, following the sequence of the rites in order, with each step explained as you reach it. For someone who has never travelled there, seeing the layout and the order of the stages is considerably clearer than a diagram.
Alongside it are guided modules on prayer โ the positions and their sequence shown from any angle โ and reconstructions of historical sites and events, presented as explorable environments with narration.
It is closer to an interactive documentary than a conventional game: there is no scoring or failure, and progress is simply how much you have explored. The 3D engine and free movement are what make it feel like a game, and what make it hold the attention of children who would not sit through the same material as text.
Free on Android and iOS.
