NOOR teaches children aged roughly five to fourteen to read the Quran, and it does it through play rather than drill. Lessons are built as adventure quests: matching Arabic words, filling in missing letters, solving vocabulary puzzles and answering questions on Tajweed rules as the child progresses.
The curriculum follows the Noorani Qaida, the primer traditionally used to teach the Arabic script and correct pronunciation before a child begins reading the Quran itself. From there it moves into short surahs, with recitation, repetition and memorisation exercises.
Because the structure is a game, progress is tracked the way a game tracks it โ levels, rewards and a visible path forward โ which is the point of the design. Children who will not sit through a recitation drill will often keep going for the next level.
Audio is central: every letter, word and verse is voiced, so a child can hear correct pronunciation before attempting it and compare their own reading against it.
The app is free to download with core lessons available; the full curriculum requires a subscription. Available on Android and iOS.
Kaderisoft develops NOOR as a structured Quran-learning course for children, built around the Noorani Qaida method and delivered as a series of interactive quests.
