The text is presented in several scripts, including the Uthmani and IndoPak styles, which matters because readers taught from one find the other unfamiliar. Translations are available in a long list of languages, and can be displayed line by line under the Arabic or as a separate reading view.
Recitation is the feature most used. A wide selection of reciters is available for streaming or download, with verse-by-verse playback, adjustable repetition for memorisation, and audio that follows the on-screen text so the reader can track position while listening.
Supporting tools cover prayer times calculated for your location, a Qibla compass, a Hijri calendar, bookmarks and notes, word-by-word analysis, and search across the text and translations.
The app is free with a substantial feature set. A paid upgrade removes advertising and unlocks additional reciters, translations and Tafsir. Android and iOS.
